Early Beginnings
Welcome Amish Furniture opened in Crystal, Minnesota in October 1982. In 1993, after experiencing steady growth for eleven years, the owners retired, selling to one of their salesmen Ray Wiley, and his brother Wes Wiley.
Smith Brothers Collection is Added in 1995
This is a high quality line. They offer a large selection of sofas and chairs, lifetime warranties, and fit nicely with heirloom quality Amish built furniture.
Amish furniture makes its debut after new connections are made
In 2000, Ray and Wes began showing Amish built furniture, having met a distributor at a local furniture market.
Opening the 60,000 sq. ft. showroom in Albertville
When they moved to their new building in 2002, Ray and Wes were able to show a much expanded selection of Amish Furniture.
The addition of Amish furniture defines the future of the company
The Amish category really took off in Albertville, and now accounts for about 90% of sales.
